Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
This policy describes what data is collected when you use the neoslice-ai.com website (the "Website") and the neoSlice software (the "Software"), and how it is processed.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Emmanuel Percheron, an independent developer based in Switzerland, acting in a personal capacity. Contact: neoslice.ai@gmail.com or the feedback form on the Website.
2. General principle
neoSlice is designed to work locally. Most of your data (3D files, analyses, configurations) never leaves your computer. The only data transmitted is described below.
3. Data collected and purposes
3.1 Browsing the Website
The Website sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Like any web host, GitHub, which hosts the Website, may technically log your IP address when you visit.
3.2 3D files and configurations
STL, OBJ and 3MF files are processed locally only. They are not sent to any server.
3.2a Modeling with neoForge
Parts created or modified with neoForge are saved only on your computer. They are not sent to any server. The initial download of the module goes through GitHub, which may log your IP address at that time, as with any download of the app.
3.3 AI photo diagnosis
Print photo analysis is performed locally. If you have agreed to share your photos, the ones you confirm are sent securely to the publisher's servers, for the sole purpose of improving the defect detection model. This sharing is based on your consent and can be turned off at any time in the Software's Settings. These images are never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
3.4 Purchases (neoSlice Pro)
When you make a purchase, transaction data (email address, billing and payment information) is collected and processed by our payment provider Gumroad. The publisher only receives the email address and order ID needed to deliver the license. The publisher has no access to any banking data.
3.5 Feedback form
Information sent through the Website's feedback form (name, email address, message and, where applicable, screenshots) is collected by Tally, which provides the form, and then passed on to the publisher. It is used only to handle your feedback and is never sold.
3.6 Donations
Donations are processed by the Buy Me a Coffee platform, under its own policy.
3.7 Updates and license
On startup, the Software checks a file hosted on GitHub to see whether a new version is available. If you have activated neoSlice Pro, it also checks that your key is valid with Gumroad. Only your license key and technical connection information, such as your IP address, are transmitted at that time. The Software may also download content updates from GitHub (Oen assistant, neoGen objects, photo diagnosis model).
4. Legal basis
Depending on the case, processing is based on your consent (photo sharing, feedback form) and on the performance of the contract (delivery and management of the neoSlice Pro license).
5. Recipients and processors
Your data may be processed by the following providers, each subject to its own privacy policy: GitHub (hosting of the Website, the installation files and the neoForge module), Tally (feedback form), Supabase (storage of shared diagnosis photos), Gumroad (payment and invoicing), Buy Me a Coffee (donations).
6. Retention period
- Confirmed photos: kept for twenty four months at most, then deleted or permanently anonymized.
- Messages sent through the feedback form: kept for twenty four months at most.
- Order data (email address, ID): kept for as long as the license is valid, then according to applicable legal obligations.
7. Transfers outside Switzerland
Your data is processed in the following regions:
- Diagnosis photos: stored in the European Union (Ireland), via Supabase.
- Feedback form: processed by Tally, a company based in Belgium (European Union).
- Website hosting, payments and donations: processed in the United States (GitHub, Gumroad, Buy Me a Coffee).
These transfers are covered by the safeguards provided by each of these providers.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, object to, restrict the processing of, and port your data. Where processing is based on your consent, in particular the sharing of diagnosis photos, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Switzerland, or the authority of your country of residence in the European Union.
To exercise these rights, including the deletion of shared photos, contact the publisher at neoslice.ai@gmail.com.
9. Security
The publisher takes reasonable measures to protect transmitted data (secure transmission, restricted access). However, no transmission method is completely infallible, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the document.
11. Contact
For any question about your data: neoslice.ai@gmail.com or the Website's feedback form.
