Terms of use
Last updated: October 2026. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. Introduction
The neoslice-ai.com website and the neoSlice software are published and maintained by Emmanuel Percheron, an independent developer based in Switzerland, acting in a personal capacity.
By accessing the Website or downloading the Software, you accept these Terms of use (the "Terms") without reservation. If you do not accept them, you must immediately stop using the Website and the Software.
2. Description of the service
neoSlice is software that helps you configure 3D prints, intended for the compatible 3D printers listed on the Website (Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Anycubic and other brands), through one of the 9 supported slicers (including Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer). It analyzes 3MF, STL and OBJ files and generates print configurations that can be exported to your slicer. The base application is free. Some advanced features, including AI photo diagnosis and the Pro Workshop, are part of the paid neoSlice Pro offer (see section 4a). The Software is provided "as is", is continuously improved and may contain errors. The Pro offer also includes neoForge, a 3D modeling module provided as a separate program, downloaded on demand from the publisher's distribution servers the first time it is used.
3. Access and availability
Access to the Website and the Software is provided free of charge, with no guarantee of permanent availability. The publisher reserves the right, at any time and without notice, to:
- modify, suspend or interrupt access to the Website or the Software;
- change the features of the Software;
- stop distributing the Software.
No compensation may be claimed on these grounds.
4. License to use
Use of the Software is granted on a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable basis. It is strictly prohibited to:
- resell, rent or sublicense the Software;
- modify, decompile or disassemble the Software;
- distribute the Software through channels other than those officially designated by the publisher;
- remove or alter the intellectual property notices in the Software.
Professional use: you may use the Software, in its free version as well as its Pro version, for your own activity, including professional activity: printing parts for your customers, issuing quotes and invoices. You may sell the parts you print, subject to the rights of the authors of the models you import. What remains prohibited is exploiting the Software itself: reselling it, renting it, offering it as a service to third parties or sharing a license key.
4a. neoSlice Pro, paid offer
neoSlice Pro unlocks advanced features (neoGen, neoForge, the Oen assistant, unlimited AI photo diagnosis, multicolor export and the Pro Workshop) through a one-time payment, with no subscription. The applicable price is shown on the Website and on the payment page. Payments are processed by Gumroad (gumroad.com), which acts as the official reseller (Merchant of Record) and handles invoicing and applicable taxes. The publisher has no access to any banking data.
The purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license key, which can be activated on a maximum of three devices. Sharing, reselling or publishing a license key is strictly prohibited. To move a license to a new device beyond these three, contact the publisher through the Website's form.
Refunds: a refund may be requested within 14 days of purchase, through the contact form on the Website.
5. Limitation of liability
5.1 Print results
neoSlice generates print setting suggestions based on an automated analysis. These suggestions are provided for guidance only. The publisher does not guarantee in any way:
- the success of your 3D prints;
- the absence of errors in the generated settings;
- compatibility with every hardware and software configuration;
- the suitability of the settings for a specific use.
The user remains solely responsible for the settings they choose to apply and for the results obtained.
5.2 Damages
Under no circumstances shall the publisher be liable for:
- any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the Software;
- the loss of files, data or 3D models;
- any damage to your printer, hardware or equipment;
- any financial loss, loss of time or loss of material (filament, etc.);
- any harm caused to third parties.
5.3 Compatibility
The Software is designed to work with the slicers and printers listed on the Website. The publisher does not guarantee compatibility with their future versions, or with any other third-party software or hardware.
5.4 Photo diagnosis
AI photo diagnosis provides automated identification of print defects and suggested corrections, for guidance only. The publisher guarantees neither the accuracy of the diagnosis nor the relevance of the suggested corrections. The user remains solely responsible for the settings they choose to apply.
6. Personal data
6.1 Browsing
The Website sets no analytics or advertising cookies.
6.2 Feedback form
The Website offers a feedback form, provided by Tally. The information you enter (your message and, where applicable, your email address) is sent to the publisher solely to handle your feedback or request. It is never sold or passed on to third parties.
6.3 Donations
Donations are processed through the Buy Me a Coffee platform. Financial data is processed directly by that platform, under its own terms. The publisher has no access to any banking data.
6.4 3D files
The 3D files (STL, OBJ, 3MF) processed by the Software are analyzed locally on your computer and are not sent to any third-party server.
6.5 AI photo diagnosis
Photo analysis is performed locally on your computer. If you have agreed to share your photos, the ones you confirm are sent securely to the publisher's servers, solely to improve the defect detection model. These images are never sold or used for any other purpose. You can turn off this sharing at any time in the Software's Settings.
6.6 Payments and licenses
neoSlice Pro purchases are processed by Gumroad. The data needed for the transaction (email address, billing and payment information) is collected and processed by Gumroad under its own privacy policy. The publisher only receives the information needed to deliver the license (email address, order ID).
For more details on how your data is processed, read our Privacy policy.
7. Intellectual property
All elements of the Website and the Software (source code, interface, logo, name, texts, graphics) are the exclusive property of the publisher and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Any reproduction, representation, modification or use, in whole or in part, without the publisher's prior written permission, is strictly prohibited.
The neoSlice name, logo and associated visual identity are distinctive elements belonging to the publisher.
7a. Third-party components
neoForge relies on the open source Open CASCADE Technology library, distributed under the LGPL 2.1 license with an exception, and on its OCP Python bindings. The license texts of these components are provided with the module and are available from the publisher on request. These components remain the property of their respective authors and are not covered by section 7.
8. External links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites (Bambu Lab, GitHub, Buy Me a Coffee, Gumroad, Tally). These links are provided for information only. The publisher has no control over these websites and accepts no responsibility for their content, availability or privacy policies.
9. Changes to these Terms
The publisher reserves the right to change these Terms at any time, without notice. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the document. Continued use of the Website or the Software after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the courts of the publisher's place of residence in Switzerland shall have jurisdiction.
11. Contact
For any question about these Terms, you can contact the publisher through the feedback form on the Website.
These terms were written in good faith as part of an independent personal project. They do not constitute professional legal advice. For any specific situation with significant stakes, it is recommended to consult a lawyer.
